The type of light

The quality of light is determined by its structure and it is one of the factors affecting lighting. For illumination to be useful it needs to light the scene as evenly as possible, that makes the image analysis be easier and faster.
DCM Sistemes puts at your disposal distribution graphs in all its lighting systems, to show how our lights perform and to enable a reasoned choice between the different types of light.
The light that emit the DCM Sistemes lighting systems can be grouped in three types, direct, diffuse and ultra-diffuse, that are identified and characterized as follows:
Type of light | Description | |
---|---|---|
![]() Direct |
![]() |
Light has an uninterrupted trajectory between the source and the target. |
![]() Diffuse |
![]() |
Light is interrupted by a translucent diffuser which softens and disperses the illumination, but remains slightly marked the points of light. |
![]() Ultra-diffuse |
![]() |
Light is interrupted by a translucent diffuser which softens and disperses the illumination, making it completely homogeneous. It is ideal for brightnesses. |
